An affiliate program is a program that allows other people to sell your products or services for you, generally for a fee. The only time you pay them is when they make a sale. They make you money, and then you pay them a commission. It’s called zero cost sales and marketing.
The great thing about affiliates is that they help you spread your reach far beyond what you could ever do on your own. For example, say you had your own list of 10,000 subscribers and no affiliates. Basically, you would only have 10,000 potential customers that you could market to. Now if you had just one affiliate who also had a list of 10,000 subscribers, you would immediately double your reach.
To use affiliates to build your list, any and all traffic that you send to your site should be sent to your squeeze page, the page that captures your visitor’s name and email information. That means your affiliates are sending the traffic they generate to your squeeze page.
You will soon find that as your army of affiliates grows, your traffic will grow so much so that you gain an unstoppable flow of traffic-traffic that you are not paying for. Your affiliates are working for you for free. They are promoting your products through email, on their websites or on their blogs.
Many affiliates will purchase Pay per Click search engine traffic and forward that traffic through their affiliate link to your site, making you and the affiliate money. Most Internet marketers and sales people will tell you that the majority of their income comes via their affiliates.
You can create your own affiliate program in three basic ways.
First, you can use a third party affiliate program. All you need to do is visit one of the major search engines, such as Google and type in ‘affiliate programs.’ A list of various services that offer affiliate programs will pop up. Typically, they will charge you a small monthly fee.
The second option is to purchase affiliate software and again, you can do a search on the major search engines to find your own server-side software. Having your own server-side software does give you more flexibility and it is only a one-time payment.
The third option is what I call ‘in house software,’ or software that you have specifically designed and programmed to suit your needs. If you don’t know programming, you would need to hire a programmer. They are also easy to find on Elance.com or Rentacoder.com.
As your affiliate army grows and these affiliates paste their unique affiliate links on their websites and blogs, they will, in effect, be advertising for you for free and creating one-way, inbound links pointing directly at your domain. It’s like having billboards on the super information highway.

Yeah there is a few sites i know of that i have been paid from. They
are called GPTs. This stands for Get-Paid-to. A lot of GPTs are scams,
but sites owned by Tom dietzel are legit. Take a look at gaminglagoon.
You will see the basic layout, sites that look like that are pretty
much always legit (unless you find a copy-cat site)
Anyway, some of these sites i have listed in the resources area, I
hope you decide to make some money. You won't get rich, but you can
make some serious dough. When you start out, you can do offers and you
could earn about $150 a month from offers and daily surveys, but if
you get referrals, you can earn anywhere from hundreds to thousands a
month. And with referrals you don't have to do anything!

There are plenty of different ways that you can work online and make money. I don't know if your looking for just a little bit of money, minimum wage amount of income or to have the opportunity to make whatever amount you need to make. Are you looking for part time work, full time work or work for yourself or what. Many different things you can do in which many different areas that have different levels of income.
You can sale things on ebay, you can partake in survey's or you can direct sale items and services from a web site, you can have an online business etc. Many different things.

Unfortunately, there is no good way for the average person to make money on line. Almost all money making sites on the web are scams. Under no circumstances should you give any money making site your credit card number. Never sign up for any "free" service that is free for one month and then you have to cancel it to avoid credit card charges. You will find it very hard to cancel. The phone number they give you to cancel may always be busy, so you can't cancel. They will often charge your credit card even after you think you have cancelled. Never give a survey site your bank account number or personal information.
Many sites claim you can make money by filling out surveys or clicking on ads or some other silly method. They screw you around answering some surveys and then try to push the "free" offers that you have to charge to your credit card. One common trick they play is that they let you make 5-10 dollars easily. But their website rules say you have to earn 40 dollars before they send you a check. To make the extra money you have to participate in "free" offers. For this they want a credit card number. I have played around on some of these sites and it always come down to them wanting to get your credit card number in the end. Don't let them.
You will find many people on this site that claim they made a lot of money at such-and-such a website. They are usually liars trying to make money. For instance they will say: "Go to cashcrap . com/q2347." The "q2347" is a signal to the cashcrap site that you are being referred to them by "q2347." If they sucker money out of you, "q2347" gets a kickback. These coded signals can be hidden by different methods in the link. Other people will refer you to their own private website or blog for the purpose of trying to get money off you. The bad spelling and grammar is usually a good tip off of this.
Note that I say there is no good way for the AVERAGE person to make money on the internet. If you are not average, and have some special skill, you can make money. If you are good at selling things, try selling things on E-bay. If you are good at writing, set up a blog or other site and sell ads. If you are good at computer programming, try setting up a site that uses your skills. Since I don't know what special skills you have, I have a hard time advising you on this.

There are plenty of ways to make money online. What is more important however is how much time you have or what interests you and what you are willing to pursue. Each way of making money requires a different amount of commitment and in turn offers a different kind of financial reward. Generally speaking, if it is very easy to start doing and making money from then usually the amount of money you can make from it is very little. This may not be true for everything, but I am just offering a generalisation. A few ways to get started making money online are as follows
Paid To: Such things as surveys and the like. You will be paid to fill something out or make a post to a forum. Very easy to do and the payouts reflect this by being very low. This may be a good area for a beginner to making money online to get started in. You can meet other people and expose yourself to new ideas and ways of thinking that you previously were not aware of.
Freelancing: This includes pretty much anything where you offer a skill you have as a service to someone else. Posting to a forum isn't a skill but being able to write good articles or code in a programming language is. There are many freelancing sites and plenty of work to be found. Depending on what skill you posses, you may be able to make good money from this. This may be another area to start in especially if you are good at something such as writing articles (huge demand, pay isn't that great but much better than get paid to sites) or you can setup servers/linux etc.
Google Adsense: Includes any other kind of ad service where you get paid for placing an advertisement on your website. This is usually only good if you already have a website up and running and have plenty of traffic. You need traffic here to be able to make any amount of considerable money. While you can start a website from scratch and maybe target high paying keywords, there is a lot of work involved. If you already have a website this is a good way to make money while you sleep as placing ads on your sites requires you to do nothing other than just maintain and promote your site as you typically do. Maybe not a good idea for beginners.
Affiliate Products: Promote other people's products. Will involve a little work but you can promote and advertise via many free methods (online classified sites, social networking sites such as myspace) and the money to be made can be good (depending on the payout offered by the affiliate). Promoting affiliate products is very popular as you can make good money if you know what you are doing. Anyone can get started in this and start promoting today without spending a dime. I personally would recommend this for beginners as you pay nothing and it can lead onto bigger and better things such as promoting your own products.
Promote Your Own Product: This is where the money is, the real money. You will need your own product, it could be anything, and you will need a list of people to promote it to or have affiliates who will promote your product for you. There are many ways to promote your own product, by yourself or through affiliates. By promoting your own product online you stand the best chance of making what I would call REAL money. It isn't easy to do when compared to other ways of making money online and it can take considerable time before you start seeing any real return.
These are just a few ideas of how to make money online and there are many many more. Each one can be twisted and molded to suit your own personality or way of thinking. My advice for anyone serious about making money online would be to find a forum with like minded people and go one step at a time. There is a lot to learn and a lot of money to make if you stick to it, no matter what path you choose.
